In 2003 I started a Dutch forum (bulletin board) called JouwForum.nl. This was pre “Facebook Groups” and was mildly succesful in its own right.
On this forum the idea for a yearly LAN-Party was conceived. And to this day we still meet up every year and play games together.
The forum shut down somewhere in 2009.
